FireFox causing crashes

Anyone else come across this since the last update?
There is nothing in any logs or dumps - it just stops dead mid sentence.
It only happens when FF is open and in use, either with other apps open or not. Not very frequent - couple of times a day perhaps. With the browser closed the system is stable.

It hasn't put a foot wrong since lunch today - maybe a passing fad.

I haven't had any problems since the update.

Is it still happening?

Nope - tempting fate but no more crashes since I whinged about it yesterday. I was seriously thinking about giving the thing an enema and reinstalling the OS as it not as sharp as it was.

No - b loody won't go back to IE in any form. Might go to Opera though - quite neat and none of the IE code holes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, while not trying to convert anyone,
IE6 and above was/is and continues to be steady as a rock and never a security
problem have I encountered. But FF2 and FF3 are also not only steady as a rock
but quicker and easier and user friendly. Haven't used Opera or anything else so
have nothing else to compare them to.
I can not remember last time my system malfunctioned using XP Sp2, now Sp3,
IE6 or IE7 or Firefox any version. I'd knock on wood but my head will do.

Oh, Daaaaave, please feel free to have another opinion about my quotes but
don't change them as it then becomes NOT my quote but yours.
And I stand by my quote of having no security problems with IE at all.
Does IE have security issues? Certainly. Does FF? Most likely if not now, it will.
Some peoples main purpose in life is to make it difficult for everyone else such as
exploiting holes in a program for destructive means.
Norton? Was/is/continues to be a bad boy. IMHO only of course.

"Stuff" gets targeted depending on how popular it is, and IE being the most popular got the most attention from the bad boys. As you say Gunner, FF will be next!
And Norton is still off my wish-list Its a HoS.

It just crashed again - apps open only FF and Live - no clues, logs or events. B loody odd.
Might give Opera a burst and see what happens.
