How would I go about making a software/program?
Is there a particular program I need to use in order to do some thing like this?
Is there a particular coding I need to use?
Any good tutorials on how to go about making program/software for an example?
This would be helpful for me. Thanks!

I would like to make any kind of program. Some thing that others could use, so I'm guessing it would have to be a program that can be executable? I hope I'm saying this all right. lol
Have you ever made software/programs Albert?

A long long time ago, in a land far far away.
It was in basic and just an exercise to show how things worked.
A good idea might be to go to your local college and ask there, perhaps?

Ha ha, yeah riiiiight. LOL Jk! I honestly like to learn on my own. I don't know if this helps or if this program or software that I have on my computer would be of any help. Does Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 be the one that your talking about?

Doing this on your own will take a long time and you will find it slow and frustrating!
VB - son of basic!

Well I meant to put Visual Studio... lol but typed Visual Basic and went and edited my post, which I don't know if you seen the edited part.. lol So Visual Studio 2005 is what I have. If I'm correct, Visual Studio is a program/software where you can create your own applications and more... Right?

You're in luck. Recently, I came across the following site, and I have to say -- I'm impressed. Take a look: Hackety Hack: the Coder's Starter Kit.

Thanks Jason! That's a neat little thing, lol! I'm just curious though with the program I have on my computer, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 as to what it is, and what it does. Any ideas from you Jason by any chance?

Thread moved to correct forum. I see why you posted there, but it is for web programming, not software programming.

What are you looking to do? I'd recomend visual basic to start off, I'm good with it so if you need any help give me a shout. Have you got any past experence with web programing at alll? HTML? JavaScript? There a good basis to work on, but not really essencial. I'm at college now but I've got a few good basic tutorals which ill post when I get home |

"Website Design and programming including HTML, XHTML, PHP, CSS, ect.". There isn't a program that will create something for you, so you will have to code hence the reason it belongs in the Web Design & Programming forum -- programming is creating an application.
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 is a program used to create Windows Applications. Visual Studio Developer Center |

I'm at college now but I've got a few good basic tutorals which ill post when I get home | I'm going to college as well. I am actually enrolled to Baker College Online. I am actually attending a class called Visual Basic CIS 310, but the program that I have is Visual Studio 2005, because that is the program I had to get from the school. Which for the class I have Visual Basic 2008 text book. I know, strange but I guess the book and program (Visual Studio) will still work together just fine.
Tutorials? Sure! Go right ahead, I'd like to see them. |

I don't have a clue what jason just said? But yeah visual studio 2005 is what you want to be using if your college has that, 2008 is slightly different but it shoudnt be too hard to work between the two.
I think i get what jason said now, okay scripting isnt programing but its a good basis to start on. HTML and PHP really helped me when starting to create applications beacuse you already have a knolage of data types, veriables etc

I read the forum name as "web design and programming", maybe it's supposed to be "web design, and programming" and I simply misunderstood.
