Wrong screen res in pc game

Hi, I've just installed Homeworld 2 on my new laptop and everything was working fine until I decided to whack all the settings to max (I've never run this game on a computer that could handle it) Including the screen res to 1600x1200.
Now the right hand side and the bottom of the game screen are hanging off the edge of the monitor and I can't get to the neccesary buttons to change the settings back.
I have tried uninstalling 3 times and rebooting afterwards, but when I re-install the problem is still there.
Feeling a bit stupid about this!
I have an Acer Aspire 6930
Cetrino Dual Core 2ghz CPU
4 ghz RAM
NVidia GeForce 9600m GT 1gb video card
Win Vista Home Premium

As I said, all was well until I did this, it hasn't affected anything else, and changing the res settings for the computer didn't change anything except the computer itself.
I just need some way of getting the settings back to default
So DuhHHHH on me

Look forward to hearing from someone
Cheers
Roger

Try right-clicking the program and select Properties.

Select the Compatability tab at the top and tick Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution.

I also recommend setting your desktop resolution to 1600 x 1200 and attempting to re-align your monitor using the nVidia software.

Hope this helps
