I've got a Westinghouse LCM-17v8 monitor. They say it's "HD Grade". As far as I know, it's just a marketing term to make people think it's HD.
The reason I want to know if it is or not is because I wanna know if it'll look better if I play my xbox 360 on it rather than my TV. I don't want to go out and buy the VGA cable unless I know it'll look better.
Thanks.

I think its a term for that company Quote: |
This HD-Grade display monitor is wider, brighter and faster than ordinary LCD monitors. Great for gaming, movies and music

Anything with above 768 vertical resolution is High Definition.
All HD is is the number of pixles on the screen, there's nothing else special about it.
With HD Ready being 768px and Full HD being 1080px

Well thanks for letting me know that....now does that mean if I were to buy the VGA cable for my 360 and play it on my monitor, it would look better than my TV? (My TV is a 19 or 20" 6 million pound magnavox) also just noticed you posted at 427 and i was 724

What cable is it? Remember VGA is only video, what are you using for audio?

What output resolution are you using for the 360? That monitors not quite 1080, I presume it just scales it down.
If your after speakers I recommend Sony DAV-DZ260, there what I'm using at the moment (2RCA is only connection they don't have thought, but there is a 3.5m stereo jack which basically does the same thing.
