Two things:

1) This is the transfer rate of my laptop's IDE TravelStar 30gb, hell my flash drive's faster than that!
Got to be holding it back surely... anyway, what's the fastest, quietest, reasonably priced drive?

2) 180 reallocated bad sectors, 14 pending... that's pretty bad isn't it? Could it have been caused by a dodgy stick of RAM (which was in there for about a week)?

Shame really, it's been a good drive, clocked 20,000 service hours
