[SOLVED] I don't know which speakers to get

I currently have a cheap PC Line 2.0 speaker set. They are good speakers but I wanted something that doesn't get hot and is generally clearer. I'm not getting a 2.1 speaker set because my computer is upstairs and the bass would just annoy everyone downstairs. I've seen a few speakers around but am not totally convinced to get them. My budget is £20-£30. Can anyone help? Thanks

I have been using a set of these http://www.cambridgesoundworks.com/s...item=c1pcwzzzz since the first year they were released and they rock, price has gone down considerably. Get the 2.1 anyhow, you can turn the subwoofer down to avoid rattling the house and moving the amplifier off the desktop saves room and avoid the heat issue.

I would agree with getting 2.1 as well mate, as you can turn the sub volume down. I have my sub set at a fair volume so you get the extra bit of bass from it, but it doesn't shake the walls. Although it does go high enough to shake the walls hehe

My dad has some like these only the satellites have two speakers in instead of one, and they make some good noise.

I'm convinced to get a 2.1 system then. I completely forgot about the volume on them! I feel a bit stupid now Those 'X210' speakers look good-I think I'll choose those. Thanks.
