[Pandemic]

Hello all,

I have just built a new computer, and it runs like a champ. The only problem I have is with the Realtek HD audio, i've looked at other threads about it, and I feel the solutions will not work. Whenever I plug my stereo, headset, headphones etc. into my computer, Realtek pops up saying "the audio device has been unplugged from the audio jack" and not even a few seconds later it will say plugged back into the audio jack. It will continue to do this until i unplug the audio device. This occurs when i plug my audio devices into any of the audio jacks. I have brand new components, new speakers/headset so it is not the connection problem. And turning off the notice that it is being unplugged and plug will just stop the pop up, the audio will still cut in and out. Thank you in advance!

Dear Nick,
I was having the same problem the last 2 weeks. Follow the instructions below. I hope they would help you:
1) Open control panel and then Programs and Features.
2) Click on the option which says to show you the updates.
3) Uninstall the one of them which says Hotfix and it's about the media foundation.
4) Now go on your desktop and make a right click on the "Computer" and then click to "Manage"
5) Choose the option which is said "Device manager" from the list on your left side of the screen and then click on the "Sound, video and game controllers"
6) Right click on the realtek high definition audio and then click on the "disable"
7) After one restart on your computer click on the right and down side of your screen at the image the volume control NOT on the realtek BUT on the one which windows provides you.
8) It will ask you if you want to enable your realtek high definition audio card. Choose yes or simething like this. By enabling your sound card it will show you that the problem has fixed.

If you want, make a restart and tell me if the sound works. If it works, it may not appear tha you have your speakers connected from the back panel but it will also not bother you.
