This has been bugging me for months
Not a really big problem as i use a headset but on the times i want to blast everyone out theres no sound from the leftone
I have checked the wires for puppy teeth marks
Any ideas or have they just had it
They are 5 years old
Advent Speakers original came with my pc
Advent 3000 series
Pc world special
( yes i will get round to putting my specs in ,, don't you dare laugh)

Only way to tell for sure, is to try another pair of speakers. If they`re ok, then it`s your old speakers that`s buggered. Whether they can be repaired, or even if they are worth repairing is another matter.

I`ve seen it happen on numerous occasions. So, yes, it`s quite possible for one speaker to pack in, or more accurately, one channel in the amplifier to go kaput.

Well its not worth repairing
The sound comes through the jheadset ok

I have taken the solved out of the thread title, because the problem has not actually been solved.
If the headset is working ok through the same jack, then it'll be the amplifier in the speakers that's gone wrong, so the easiest thing to do would be to get some new ones.
