There is also the problem of magnetism when mounting a sub inside a PC case.
The bass speaker is usually driven by a hefty and strong magnet and hard drives are magnetic storage devices...

ooh good point...that would suck if your bass speaker got a little too close to your case. Be kind of funny if the magnet was so strong that it just moved your entire case into it. Although the hardware would be kinda shot.

A bit off topic (Howard isn't watching!) but have you seen how strong those magnets are that are inside all hard drives? Pick up passing Vauxhall Corsas at 50 yards I tell you!

I knew you were going to say about HDD magnets hehe. Aye, but I am
Vauxhall Corsa's you say  hehe.
Anywho, this thread is about sound. If you want to combine sound and hard drives then search YouTube for "hard drive speaker" otherwise we'll stick to normal speakers, please and thank you.
