Motherboards
Good: MSI, Asus**, ECS, eVGA, DFI
Average: Gigabyte
Bad: PC chips, Jetway, eMachines, Asus RMAs, Abit

PSUs
Good: Enermax, Antec, Corsair, Jeantech, OCZ, Seasonic, Casecom 300w (provided it is not heavily loaded)
Average: Casecom, HEC
Bad*: Q-tec, Sweex, Emachines/Bestec, "Extra Value" own-brand PSUs, Coolermaster, Trust, TaurusX
Not sure: Arctic Power, Hiper (now defunct, anyhow), Jeantech

The sections which should take extra consideration on your part are coloured in RED.
[b]*- Most cheap PSUs are bad, many (but not all) no-name brands are bad.
** - The BIOS update tool is flaky, ONLY update if necessary, and try not to update from within Windows.
