My keyboard mod

Hi all, I am about to mod my keyboard. At the moment it looks like this.

It is a dell keyboard that looks like this.

In a few hours it will look a little different. So if you are interested, watch this space.

This is how it looks now.

Sorry for the poor picture quality but I don't know where my digital camera is at the moment so I had to use my mobile phone.

I took those horrible green led's out and fitted blue ones instead. One of the green led's wasn't working anyhow.

Damn, i missed a trick. I should have fitted a flashing led for the caps lock.

Reminds me of a Red Dwarf Quote

Thanx Sam, that is one of my intentions. I have a couple of very plain cases that I intend doing major modding on. There will be pictures.

BM, class line from a class show. I am a big fan.

Albert, you certainly will end up with green fingers after typing on that.

Both me and my dad are a dab hand with a soldering iron, it was the best part of his job for about 11 years or so.

I think he'd be more of the "it's fine how it is" type though

The only LED in my keyboard is the low battery one, and I've only ever seen it flash a handful of times, otherwise I'd get busy myself

Thanx again Sam. I can't actually make a start on those cases until I move into the flat that we are buying which wont be 'till about April time. I will however be doing some major re-designing to them and photographing them as a worklog.

Dave, tell yer dad that looking fine isn't as good as looking great.

Well at least then you can get the plans all worked out on what you want to do to the case. Then before you know it you will be in the new house and able to start!
