Hey,
Not sure where to post this, though, My toshiba p200d is making clicking type noises on the left side of the machine, Where the Fan is spinning. I cannot see how to undo the machine to see if there is anything it is hitting against to try and prevent it.
Any Ideas?
Sean

Is it a regular click or is it once in a while? If it's not the same amount of time between clicks then it could be your hard drive.
There should be screws on the bottom of it somewhere, so that you can take the back off, I'll see if I can get a pic and have a look.
Edit: Can't find anything on Google :frown:
Also moved to another forum, as you suspect it's a problem with the fan I think it's better here

Something along these lines could help - https://www.manualsparadise.com/Abou...source=AdWords
What you want is a service manual. Perhaps a bit of googling will find an online one??

I dont know it is hard to explain. Majority of the time the clicking is sort of constant!
The hard drive seems fine, I have taken all the screws off and I cannot seem to take the back off?
It happens most of the time, sometimes it may get lighter in sound and sometimes it will get a bit louder... HArd to Explain this tho.

I would first try compressed air to blow out the vents of any dust, dirt, & and other debris. Generally on laptops there are screws under the keyboard that must be removed in order to open up the case. Toshiba service manuals are harder than most to find online for free but it can be done.

ah ok, Well I have blown out and the noise is still there. It becomes frustrating listening to this noise over and over and over... Peace is now when the machine is off.

Have a look here Toshiba - Download a User Manual and see if you can find your laptop manual there. Not sure if it will help you any but thought I would post anyway.

Thanks Sam, I will have a look at it now. I dont want to take apart and ruin the face of the Laptop would be sad. I know it is the fan as the system runs perfectly until the fan starts blowing ...
So will see what I can do.
