My dad is looking into getting a new PC, as his current one barely works and loves to frustrate anyone that uses it.

What I need to know is are Fujitsu Siemens desktops any good? He's found this one (and this monitor) and the specs seem ok, as all he really does is web browsing and Excel stuff, and seeing as he works for Siemens he can get it cheaper straight from the company.

It's just that with the experience of the laptop, I'm not sure if this desktop will be any less troublesome. I've been telling him for the last few months that I could make a better PC than any pre built one for the same price or maybe even less, but he got talking to a friend who builds PC's and thinks he knows everything and he says that Fujitsu Siemens are good and not to bother building one. I don't know why he'd say not to get a custom one, as his business is building PC's.

I'd especially like to hear from people who've had FS PC's, but any input is more than welcomed
