The incredibly expensive keyboard is now available to buy at thinkgeek.com, and I expect other places as well. ThinkGeek :: Optimus Maximus Keyboard
With an OLED screen in each key, it's a pretty snazzy piece of kit, but for that level of snazzyness you're going to have to pay for it
Speaking of ThinkGeek, take a peek at my other thread here for some more new products

It`s definitely a stunning keyboard, but at that price, you`d expect it to be.
Unfortunately my budget doesn`t quite stretch to buying one hehe.

Same here hehe. I paid a few quid for mine, but it's lasted quite a while and survived everything I've thrown at it
It looks pretty nice as well though, but I've heard it's not the nicest thing to use ever. I think the keys are pretty stiff. ThinkGeek :: Optimus Mini Three Keyboard
I wonder if you can make one of the keys do Ctrl + Alt + Del hehe

Personally I use a Saitek EclipseII keyboard. Looks nice and feels nice to type on. However, I`m renowned for killing keyboards due to spilling coffee and other substances on them.
If I were to own one of those Optimus Maximus keyboard`s, I`d be scared to death of actually using the damn thing.

It would go in a glass case if it cost that much and you don't want to break it hehe.
Mine's completely unbranded and says "Office Wireless Keyboard" on the back, on a sticker with the serial number and whatnot. I quite like it, though, because it has media controls and standby and shut down buttons. 99% of the time I use the shut down button instead of the start menu, shortly followed by turning my screen off and leaving it to it
There are buttons for opening stuff like Word and Excel, which you can set to do anything you want, so long as it's an executable file, but I haven't installed the software as I expect it won't like Vista

I use the same keyboard, howard. Very nice keyboard I must say.
$1,589.99: Who in the right mind would pay that kind of money for a keyboard?

Someone with pointless amounts of money hehe.
In that case, I'd definitely put it in a glass case and never, ever use it Well, maybe once or twice, to see the pretty keys

If I had £800 that I could spend absolutely anything on, it certainly wouldn't be a keyboard
It would probably be a PS3 and HDTV, or maybe a super good PC haha

wow, I would never spend that much money on a keyboard. heck you could build a kick butt computer for the price of the thing.
