Well I sent it off to Holland at a cost of about 13 quid. I intend stirring some muck about this because, unless I am mistaken, I should not have to incur any costs in resolving warranty matters. Anyone know better??

As far as I know you shouldn't have to pay anything, mate. At the end of the day, you're the customer, and they should give you top notch service. If they don't want to pay for the postage then throw all your toys out the pram directly at their faces, and at their lawyers if it come to it, which hopefully it won't.

Telling them that you won't use their products any more will help as well, as they will want your business seeing as you're a re-seller.

Thanks Dave - will start the muck flinging when I have rebuilt the system tomorrow - all went a bit pear shaped today as one of the memory modules turned out to be incompatible - didn't think that would happen with Kingston memory. More likely to be my fault I suspect!

Second thoughts - I will wait until I get the replacement PSU before opening the offensive with Antec.

Yeah, you shouldn't have to pay postage. As I sometimes say, give 'em hell over it

Mind if I ask why you've decided this mate? I'm curious hehe.

Much as I like the Dutch, we were at war with them for a long time. I know it was in about 1600 but we have long memories in this family.
I'd rather have my egg in the basket before starting a slanging match!

Replacement PSU arrived late yesterday - now begins the process of getting my money back for the costs of shipping a 2 kilo package to Holland.
BTW - the gormless bird on the post office counter asked me if the Netherlands and Holland were the same place. Gah!

That can't have been cheap mate, I hope they give you it all back. They should do, but with the stuff that's been going on so far it seems that they're a bit reluctant to help in any way.

I take it that kid never did geography then hehe. I stopped taking it in year 9 (4 1/2 years ago) and know that they're different places!

I had an Antec 400w PSU and after three months it developed a fault, I had just the same problem trying to RMA it and in the end brought a Seasonic S12 PSU and threw the Antec PSU in the dustbin.
I shall not buy from Antec again.
My favourite cases are Coolermaster & Silverstone.

It`s really a pity.

Antec used to be well respected for both the quality of their products and I believe their service. Sadly, that no longer seems to be the case.
