Advice needed

This is the situation, I have always had a router with a wired connection for my desktop and laptop, but after having an extension built I know want to use my laptop in the new extension.
For this I need a wireless router, any suggestions as to a reliable one, and how easy is it to set it up and to make sure no one else can piggy back my connection.

If your router has ethernet output you could always add a wireless device such as the LinkSys WKUSB54GC-UK - on Linksys Wireless-G Router & USB Adapter Bundle - Ebuyer
I have set these up for clients and they work a treat.

Thanks for the reply Albert, I am with Virgin, so yes the router has an Ethernet connection, my netbook is an eeepc, I presume I just plug the USB dongle into the netbook and it should communicate with it.
What would you recommend for security WEP or WPA, and how easy is it to do.
I might know a lot about building and troubleshooting computers but I know nothing about wireless networking.

WPA is superior to WEP security. You can download programs (don't ask where from, it was on TV) that can crack a WEP code so you can log straight in.

There will be instructions with the equipment on how to set it up
