Hi!
Those of you that haunted in the "video cards display" section in these days... will know why I formatted again the hard disk, and re-installed win xp sp2.
The "format" weapon is always ultimate, I love it!
Now the brand-new, very light and basic Windows installation is going very well...
...But I missed just a small stage... since the installation of the D-Link wi-fi antenna didn't worked (new drivers v. 1.30), I uninstalled them (using Total Uninstall, I always install anything using this installation "inspector", in order to be able to totally uninstall them if needed), and I re-installed the 1.21 version. It worked.
But in these stages, I made a small error, just a smal passage that I made without knowing it...:
With the 1.30 version, since the antenna didn't work (neither recognized as hardware, nor recognized the Thomson router's signal, of course), I tried to make, from "Control Panel" a "guided network installation" (translated by me from Italian, so I don't know exactly in English.... its definition):
It asked me just a few things... for example group name... computer name... I left the default "MSHOME"....
Now, the D-Link Antenna works, I'm able to surf the web... but If I try to go to... in Italian is "Risorse di rete", similar to the "My Computer" icon, but with the small "world" behind the screen, and I click on:
"all the network", then on:
"Microsoft Windows network", then there isn't the icon as in past (clicking on it I was always able to enter the other two computers of the local network), but there's "Mshome", and if I click on it I'm able to see... just THIS computer!!!
I'd like to ask to this genius-windows: what the hell do I need to enter to THIS computer by the network....
In conclusion: I'm unable to uninstall this "Mshome" and to restore the original-classic-standard-default situation...
The ONLY thing that I made without using Total Uninstall, is just this wrong operation with the network configuration, so now I'm unable to cancel the work made....
How can I do?
Thank you very much!!!
PS: the other two computers didn't get any change in their configuration... the problem is only here!
PS: If I'll be unable to solve this problem too... I'll have no option but to use the invincible weapon: the "format" command.... shake Windows!
