Thats a brilliant idea but they are no spare power points he has them all full up

On the assumption that the external drive needs it's own power supply, max amount of sockets needed is 3
one each for
PC
Monitor
External Drive

Unplug his alarm clock and use that socket, then when he fails to get up in the morning throw a bowl of cold water on him.

Perhaps your DVD drive doesnt like that brand of disc, it's not a cheapy pound shop jobbie is it?
Does your drive play other brands or non brand DVD-RW discs

Well i think that my DVD drive doesn't like that brand
It works perfectly with all my DVDs

Shall i Mark it solved ?
