Media Player Classic is a good alternative to WMP; it even looks like an older version of it. And plays most types including QT and RM files.

Another good one worth trying is GOM Media Player

I don't actually use playlists at all. I put all my music into my own music direcrory and all my videos in my own video directory.

I know where everything is and i can use whatever player i feel in the mood to use.

VLC is the best VIDEO player out there, but it isnt even in the same league as WMP music wise.

You only real options as far as I see are Winamp (but you still need to use WMP to rip music) or iTunes which isnt half bad.

Amaork is by far the best player out there but its Linux only

dudeking, ever tested foobar200 to play music? It's really goo for it, because you can put you'r playlists as tabs etc...

If you like playlists then it's good, because it works like an single playlsit with subplaylists...

yeah think so, i remember downloading it when you told me about it before.

Really it depends if you feel happy with the look and feel of the interface. Download a few, see if you like them or not.
