I was just making an MP3 CD for the car and accidentally burned it at 40x in my DVD-RW drive, which it can do, but it doesn't like doing that anymore so the finalization fails, and I have to do it at 24x instead.
Anyway, I set it to burn again at 24x, after already producing one coaster, but after I put the disc in, it reset it to 40x and of course I tried cancelling it but it had already started burning, so coaster number 2 was spat out.
Fortunately it has literally just finished this time at the speed I wanted and it's ok, but just thought I'd warn people about it resetting the burn speed, as it's on the little sidebar thing that is usually closed so you don't see it happen until it's too late.

I have nero 7. Have had no problems with it so far though. Though I do not burn CD's all that often but will be on the look out for that little glitch.

I tried installing 5.5 originally on here, but it wouldn't finish it because I have Vista hehe. Therefore I have a half-installed version of 5.5 on here that won't uninstall
I think that it will be alright in the full program, but in the Express one it hides the options for burn speed etc so you don't see it happen.

I do most of my CD/DVD burning on one of my Linux computers, as K3b if far superior to Nero.
If I get a coaster using K3b it is generally when I have burned an ISO without doing the MD5 checksum first.
