Are flip phones becoming dated?

I'm the owner of a flip phone, but as I've been starting to notice other people's phones, most other people are now carrying iPhones, Android-type phones, and sliders. I'm not really seeing that many people with flip phones any more.

As I was in a restaurant texting someone the other day with all of these people around having iPhones and the such, I felt kind of "old" texting from a flip phone.

I don't know if it is that way in the UK, but what are your thoughts on this?

It seems to be the same here too [UK] from what I've seen.

What makes me laugh is the way they talk into them - in the position as though they were about to take a bite from a sandwich.
