Re: Apple iPHONE

I think they are fantastic phones - with lots of benefits. I would say I would like to own one in the future - but at the end of the day I'm happy with the phone I have - it's a sony Ericson k800i. It does the job - make phone calls - text messages ect.. It's also got a good camera.

iPhones are quite good but I would wait for the 3G version, scheduled for next year.

The current one has a few features missing as well, probably the biggest of which is the ability to film videos on the phone's camera. You also can't set mp3's as your ringtone or send MMS messages.

Personally I'm not too bothered about the MMS, but if I can't set Basket Case by Green Day as my ringtone then I don't want to know

They may be pretty neat but I think that many of the features in the phone aren't really needed. But that's just my opinion. I may be getting a k800i at some point-I was going to get the k750i but it looks like it has been discontinued.

The K750i is quite a good phone - my dad has one - but I think that Sony over complicate the menus a bit on their phones.

I have a Nokia 6120 classic and it's a brilliant phone and has to be the smallest smartphone available.

The biggest problem for UK O2 users is that OFCOM are intending to pull some of the 900MHz Spectrum from O2 in 2009, this is being appealed by O2 and Tesco, but could affect iphone users.

Apart from that all I see iphone being is an ipod touch with a phone added on. Not my type of phone, I prefer the HTC Entries into the smartphone marketplace, currently have a Tytn

No, I have a touch screen phone http://www.letsgodigital.org/images/..._w960_zoom.jpg full touch screen.

It's a right pain, I know the touch on the itouch isnt that bad but still I want buttons and I think most people will find it easier.

Some magazine did a comparison between the Iphone and the Nokia N95 - the Nokia won. This is why I have one - and now wonder why as I never use half the gadgets on it! Never used the radio, the GPS, used the camera half a dozen times - but the phone all the time and it is bluetoothed to the heap for hands free.

When you think about it, it is amazing what they cram into those things. Big problem is the size of the average finger - hits too many keys at once most of the time!

I hear you Albert.I too have a Nokia N95 and what a great phone it is,I have used most of the functions on it just a shame if you want the full functions of the GPS you have to pay extra which doesnt come cheap,as if I didnt pay enough for it just to buy the thing..

My cousin has an iPhone and it's quite nice, but the camera's not the best ever. I don't know too much about it because I only really played a bit but the screen is good but they should have made ones with more memory than 16GB imo.

Fortunately they have now released the 3G version which will hopefully sort out some of the things with the original one, such as recording video on the camera, custom ringtones and MMS messaging, and hopefully the general quality of the camera.

The iPhone is pretty cool. But so is the new Instinct by Samsung for Sprint. I think it would be neat just to have a touch phone.
