Apparently there isn't an installer package for it.
For Donna: Windows Mail is basically the Vista version of OE
My suggestion was to try using Vista's "Add/remove Windows components" which is called "Turn Windows features on or off" but it's not listed there. I'll have a bit more of a dig around for you.

That's the same link Albert
Saying that, I didn't look at it before because of Ukkonen's response, but that does look like you can download the program there.
I've never loaded Windows Mail because I don't want to use it, but that looks like what I would expect it to.

HI Dave
I got fed up with OE so downloaded and installed Live Mail from that site.
MS have life confusing with the various similar names for slightly different products....

You should be able to re-install it using the Vista's Add/Remove Windows Components
To Add/Remove components in Vista, do the following:
- Open Control Panel
- In the left hand pane choose Classic View
- Double click Programs and Features
- Look in the left hand pane and click on Turn Windows Features on or off
- Once the box is updated you will be able to Add/Remove Windows Components
Add Windows Mail as required
-----------------------------------
If that doesnt fix it you may find a solution HERE

That link looks like it could be helpful though, although that seems to be for if it won't open, in this case it's done a magic trick and disappeared itself.
Try having a look at C:\Program Files\Windows Mail and make sure the files are actually there.

Try and see if you can get some help from here: http://www.microsoft.com/communities...&lang=en&cr=US
That place should help you with any questions you may have. It's specifically for Windows Mail.
Good luck!

right-click your desktop and select New->Shortcut. In the target field, copy-and-paste %programfiles%/windows mail/winmail.exe
try that please

Before trying Blackmirror's suggestion, let's make sure you have all the files there.
Go to the Program Files folder again, but instead of opening the Windows Mail folder, right click on it and see what it says next to "Size:" and "Contains:". Mine says 8.63MB and 14 files with 1 folder, so you can compare it.
At the bottom of the list in the folder I have WinMail.exe so make sure you have that in there next.
