Hiya all,
I have an EEE pc here, with only 2gb SSD inside, and running windows!
(Yes i really would be better off selling it on ebay and buy some lego or something) - buuttt, I had a final thought before doing so; to span the volume onto my external drive.
However when I try to convert my external USB 2.5" IDE 40gb HDD, the 'convert to dynamic disk' is grayed out.
I don't know what to make of this, and have found nothing much specific enough on google so far....
any clues please???
Thanks in advance

What Operating System? Quote: |
Dynamic disks are not supported on portable computers or Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.
| Convert to Basic and Dynamic Disks in Windows XP Professional
Anything there of any use to you?

If you were to install the 2.5" drive internally in the PC you could convert it to a Dynamic Disk and it may then work when placed back in it's USB enclosure. Of course you will need an adapter to fit the 2.5 drive onto your 40pin IDE cable, not forgetting power too
Maplins sell them
