1. Warnings shouldn't be public. They remain between the person warned and the admin/mods.

2. vBulletin doesn't function well in IE8 when I last tried. If it hasn't been fixed yet, then you will have to use the Emulate IE7 button until Microsoft correct the problem.

couple of things:
1 - I think it would be a good idea if when warnings are issued they should be public.
2 - There is a snag with IE8 on XP Pro SPIII - and only with this forum and not with Opera 9.5 or Firefox 3 - any post provokes the stock error message and offer to report; it then resets the tab and all is well. I expect this is an early warning for you as not many will have this mix yet.

I can't see anything unusual. What time did this happen? And I'm not sure whether I'd be able to retrieve it, because if it isn't in the database, then there's no chance of me restoring it.

sorry to be a pain but a PM has vanished - I saw it listed but when I went to open it there was no new message on the list. If you can delve into the account and retrieve it when you have a moment? I have no idea where it was from. Cheers
