| How does the scan work?
I'm not a very techy person and even reading the Malware Removal Guide, I did not understand most of it.
Yesterday I saw a pop-up that said it would check my computer for Trojans (viruses) and thinking it was convinient and helpful I foolishly clicked it and ended up here with a Trojan virus through My Computers -> Internet which for some reason, works.
I have downloaded Malwarebytes Anti- Malware, and as I am typing this it is currently scanning through my computer. It had scanned a little over 9000 and has found three 'Objects Infected'. I have no idea what this means, but I believe it is safe to assume this isn't good because right now I can't go on the Internet, MSN, or anything of such.
I have also downloaded multiple other Trojan Remover prograns and all they seem to do is scan. What happens after that? Is the Trojan simply removed? As I said in the beginning, technology is not very compatiable with me, nor am I with it. If that is simply suppose to work, it has not. I have scanned it with two scans I believe and neither has made any progess. I'm a little bit at a loss.
So my question is in it's simplest form, Are the scans suppose to remove my Trojan/Malware virus, or am I suppose to do something after?
Thank you to anyone who has read this, and/or is going to help! Note: My computer is Windows ME with Windows 2000 (I believe) installed into it. I do not know the details of this computer and I am not very famaliar with technology but if you can list me steps a five-year-old can follow, I can only hope I will be able to follow as well.
Once again, Thank you!
