IE Browser tab icons changing

Hi,

I'm new to this site and have a small problem I wonder whether you can help me with.

The small icons/logos on my IE 7 browser tabs keep changing. No other symptoms - the browser still works as far as I can tell but it is annoying when these icons don't match the site I'm on. Sounds like malware to me??

Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of this problem and restore the icons to their originals?

All help gratefully received and thanks in advance,

regards,

Tony, Cherie and the kids

(no, not that one, really!)

My instant response to this is that the problem is with IE7 and a quick and dirty fix is to stop using it and move to the much better FireFox - which you can download from Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable
If it persists with FireFox I will eat my hat - but please make sure you have a good internet security suite running.

Thanks for your instant response. I already run Firefox and Safari as options. My problem concerns an issue affecting IE7 so I'd like to solve it rather than giving up on it.

Thanks anyway. Still looking though! ;-)
