I'm using AVG Free and it's undergoing a "complete test." I hope that's what I'm supposed to be doing.
I'm not sure how long this will take, but I'll try to post an update as soon as it is done.

Depending on how much stuff you have on your hard drive, it can take quite a long time. This is perfectly normal.
A complete test is the correct test to be running.

Over 31,000 scanned objects and still running. I'm going to to leave for about an hour and come back to see if it's finished.
Do you think this will eliminate the problem? That would be awesome.

I don`t know if it will eliminate the problem. However, it`s definitely a good idea to have AV and firewall protection on your system, purely from a security point of view.

Screenshot of the virus scan results attached.
The adoginhispen still comes up when I type "a" in the address bar. Is this because I clicked on it that one time? How will I know if the threat is eliminated?
Everything on my computer seems to be running smoothly. Is there anything else I need to do?

I don`t know why it`s still showing in your IE address bar.
I also, don`t know if the infection is still there, as it`s no longer showing in your log files. If I can`t see it, I can`t fix it.
Like I said earlier, the only way it was solved in another members thread, was to use a different browser.
I have searched extensively for a fix for this particular issue, without success. I don`t know why this is happening, other than it`s a new variant of some description.
Try this and see if it helps.
Open IE and click tool/internet options.
Click the Security tab and click on the Trusted sites icon. Click the sites button and remove all sites from the trusted zone by selecting them and clicking the remove button. Once done, click ok. Warning! Do not click the links below in the qoute box. Click ok/ok and close IE. reboot your system.
Post back when done and I`ll remove the above links to stop anyone from clicking on them.

I cleared my cookies and can no longer see adoginhispen in the search bar.
I also blocked those sites just in case. I'm about to reboot.
There is only one little problem remaining. You know how there are often little images in the tabs next to the names of the website you're at? For example, at Yahoo there is the red Y next to the "Yahoo" name on the tab? Well, for many of my websites, these images are mixed up. The Yahoo "Y" is appearing where it shouldn't. There is a FW (from freewebs I think) when I go to some microsoft sites. There is a colored box that is the same as the AVG icon when I log in to facebook. Do you know why this is?
I want to thank you for all of your help. I hope the virus is gone, and I hope it will never return. Thank you.

Hopefully after you reboot, you should be ok.
You definitely need to do the following. Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how HERE.
Now, turn system restore back on. This will have deleted all your old restore points and any nasties that are in them. It will also have created a new, clean restore point.
You may want to have a read of this thread HERE.
As regards your image problem, I`ve really no idea why that would happen.
Maybe, you could start a new thread for that particular problem in our Web & Email forum.
Please let me know what happens after the reboot.

I turned off and then turned on system restore, and then I rebooted. Everything seems fine. No more adoginhispen. I can't thank you enough.
Still the problem with the images though. I'll see about making a new thread.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope I never have this problem again. I appreciate all of your help so much.
