The video quality isn't that great, but you'll get the general idea.
I seem to be spending more and more time in Ubuntu. If I can get hold of a compatible TV card, then I don't think I'll use Windows much if at all. Unfortunately, my current TV card while it shows the video with no problem, won't play the sound lol.
After lots and lots of research and trying different things, it looks like it'd be easier just to get a new TV card and have done with it.
Thats pretty sexy - must get myself Ubuntu'd as well!
sexy
you need to get out more
looks good H

I had the same problem with my Pinnacle PCTV card on Kubuntu...
Do you have connected the line-out on the TV card to the line-in on your computer's sound card ???
Ubuntu amd Mint have problems with my graphics card, and as I am to idle to edit the xorg.conf file I stick with Debian, it is always rock solid, although you do need some knowledge of the CLI to set it up.

Yes mate, that's exactly how it's connected and always has been.
Kworld Plus TV Analog PCI Card (PVR-TV 7131SE) is Philips Semiconductors SAA7133/SAA7135 Video Broadcast Decoder (rev d1)
it is not Conexant CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder (rev 05)
I think it's not being recognized properly by the kernel.
Exactly mate. That's why I said, it's probably going to be easier to get a new TV card that I know will be Linux compatible. It's not like my present card is anything to write home about and I have had it for a few years.
