Might be worth reading the comments Quote:
Re: Acronis® True Image 11 Home offer for $9.99 (US).
Considering the previous posts and after purusing Backup software for data backup and disaster recovery in Windows and Linux - Acronis, their listed price is $49.99. Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 lists for same price of $49.99. So according to this offer I could purchase both for a penny under 10 buckeroos? Saving $89.99 ?
At age 70 I've been around a few corners and even down some really dark alleys. I don't care to buy grey or black market stuff. What do you think? Do you really want to expose your paypal or credit card via the net to buy a product for 1/10th it's value? If so, give me a shout. I have a bridge in Alaska that's going nowhere I'd like to sell.
Best of luck to all...
Mike

It's real and is hosted on multiple affiliate sites. Some well known, some not.
Acronis started just giving away v8 once they were done with it and moved on to the newer versions. One day v10 and 11 will be free as well I would imagine...

The newer versions have more bells and whistles but v8 does everything most people need.

I get Gizmo's newsletters and I have always found them to be reliable.
Sounds like a good deal; if I didn't already have a backup 'solution' I would consider that one.

Trust me. When something like this is posted Jason, me or another moderator will look into the legitimacy of it and delete if necessary. We won't let just anything potentially dangerous, illegal or immoral be posted..

Interesting information I found on another site. Quote:
It seems that Acronis True Image 2009, the successor to Acronis True Image 11, has completed its beta trials and will be put to market within 8 weeks, so Acronis are getting as much out of the old (current) version as they can. Link | |

And that's free.
