Many of you may be surprised to learn that DDR3 has just become very affordable.
I had a poke around newegg, and discovered to my own shock that a 2 gig set of DDR3 1333 mhz 240 pin RAM from Gskill is now only 75 dollars or so.
Here's the link just to prove that I'm not bluffing. Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
I'm very tempted to buy myself a set.

I think i'll wait until next year to give it a little more time to mature, and for the latencies to lower

I realise that you guys are probably already aware of this, but for anyone that isn`t, it`s important to know that your motherboard must support DDR3. A lot of motherboards don`t, so you`ll need to check first.

Yup. A lot of people make the mistake of purchasing incompatible memory.

Regards Howard | Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think that DDR3 modules will physically fit onto a board that is not supposed to support them.
