Okay, this could be the in the wrong part of the board. If so, I apologize! But I was hoping someone could point me somewhere... lol I have a question, probably a question that shouldn't be asked because it's probably a funny question to even ask and be way out of the question or not even possible to do. I don't know...
But yeah, I was wondering if anyone know of a program that would summarize text. But if it does summarize text, does it put it in it's own words and not "copy" word for word, just pulling sentences out of the article to summarize it.
I hope that makes sense?
I'm just curious pretty much if there is such a program that summarizes articles for an example, and puts together a summary of it's own words of the actual article.
Do you know of any?

I was thinking of a program that just summarizes the article, or any piece of text. But to where the program takes and "puts it in their own" words... not like pull sentences out of the article, and then make a summary. I hope that makes sense?

That's alright. lol I am just really bad at summarizing materials, such as articles. So I was hoping there was some type of summarizing program out there, so that it would help me out and then I would of course put it into my own words but it would be a starter type thing. If that makes sense. lol

Yes CJ, it makes perfect sense. I seem to remember as a kid being made to do loads of these precis at school and hating them. Too much like hard work!

Exactly! It's pointless too especially when I have 7 stupid articles to summarize AND evaluate! Yuck!

He's way, way, way behind (as in has not read said book) on a report due this week and was hoping against all odds that you'd find a solution for the both of you.
