foobar2000

Any body use this ??

How to setup and customize foobar - an advanced audio player for Windows - Simple Help

Quote:
Foobar is an application I think everyone should try. It’s an audio player that plays a lot of different file types (MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC / Ogg FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, AU, SND, CDDA, WMA and more with optional components). It also does more than just play your music. It can rip songs from CDs, convert songs to many other formats, you can edit the tags of your songs, customize virtual everything, and lots more. And the best thing about it is that it uses less ram when compared to most other audio players. This makes it perfect for using while playing games, if you use it for nothing else.

wmp uses 26000k when playing a song
foobar uses 6000

yes it has

Its ot as good looking as WMP but when ram is an issue and i want to multitask chat and forum post with music in the background it seems ideal

I was thinking about the question raised in another post (was it Walt?) about the screen with the built in mike/speakers on which he/she wanted to change the tonal quality.

It was Wayne who had the problem with the screen - he fixed most of it but not sure about this element...

I should think so too - can't have people wandering in here with some half bottomed product, you know!
