I don't exactly download much or anything like that so might as well make it less often than daily really, but it might not have run for a few days, I can't remember what time I turned my PC on yesterday It's set for 6 PM, anyway

The drive turns itself off after 20 mins as well, as set in the Windows Power settings, I've never noticed it work on my external drive, but that's in a caddy so not a proper external one out of the box. However it shows up as a proper hard drive in Computer as opposed to a USB device so it's a weird one really Oh well, I only ever have it on when I need it, which isn't often

I could not agree more as I have never understood the use of hardware to do a software project and thus have never used raid!

Having said that, I would always buy a RAID enabled board over one without. And guess what? My RAID array sort of stuttered into life this morning so a bit of preventative maintenance and an extra backup in order I think...
