Every since the last update, skype wants to crash--usually right after I log in but sometimes it stays on until someone calls, then it crashes. I looked for solutions on the internet, tried a couple but it still crashes. I uninstalled, cleaned the registry, reinstalled... still crashes. any ideas? thanks

Have you made sure the drivers for your camera are the latest?

it's on my HP laptop that does scans at least once a month, checks for bios updates, drivers for the built in web cam, etc., so hard to believe it would be that... and I don't use the web cam

but thanks for asking, Albert. I'm clueless as to why skype won't stay on

Thank you Blackmirror...I thought of that but...dang, thought flew out the ears. Seems to be working ok now with DL from 12 months ago. appreciate your post
