Is the traditional non intrusive cookie enough? Nope! Our friendly retailers are now spying on our online shopping habits. I am far from one who complains about my ISP or Google knowing my every move. To them I am a statistic, just another bank of letters and numbers that uses their servers to connect to the rest of the world. But this to me is intrusive and pushing the line of trust.

If the article is accurate, then it`s a completely unacceptable state of affairs.

Cookies are one thing, but this is quite another.

That's absolutely appalling. Community my bruised behind. Pfft.

If it contradicts so many regulations, I am amazed that it's allowed to still continue. And the difference in the privacy policy pages is just the icing on the cake.

Oh, and the company saying they informed users well in advance exactly what was happening is the cherry on top of said iced cake. It happens to be a victoria sponge. It tasted like lies and other misdemeanors.
