Hello do you have the indexing service on ??
start run ....services.msc
and double click the "indexing service", set it to disabled and reboot.
see if that helps please

Ok. But what is cidaemon.exe? Will it continue to run?
This PC seems to be getting slower and slower.
Is there some way I can make the performance better?
Is there some general items I should look at?
Is there some way the team can help look at the PC in more detail?
Thanks for your time.

How do set the indexing services to disable?
Change "Startup Type" pull down menu from "automatic" to "disable"?
How will I tell if it helps?

You said in your first post Is it slowing my pc down
The answer is yes it can
The only way to see if there is an improvement is to disable it
start >>>>run .... type in >>>>>>> services.msc
look for indexing service
double click and change to disable and restart pc
or
Go to my computer and right click on the (NTFS) drives. Click properties and uncheck "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching" in the General tab. Repeat for all your (NTFS) drives.

I did as you recommend but there is no "disable" check box
Do I change "Startup Type" pull down menu from "automatic" to "disable"?
