I was able to update Java via the update tab etc in my control panel this time.
I have a feeling that the update 4 had something wrong with it and that`s why it was never available via the proper updates procedure.

Due to a conversation from another board I did a test just now. It revealed that the installers from Sun Java and www.java.com are different. The one from java.com includes the Google toolbar as where the one from Sun Java doesn't. So, if you download it from java.com be on the lookout. |

If people update via the update tab of the Java applet in control panel, no toolbars are installed.

I was thinking about that. The internal updater must be linked to the sun java site and not java.com.
