What is your favourite gaming console and why?

I have PS2, PC and Nintendo WII for gaming and if im honest the PC is the best.

PS2 graphics and gaming power are limited and while you can buy nice shiny slimline version to fit in even smaller spaces than the non-slimline verison you can't updgrade etc. Good for net play though.

Nintendo WII is alright for the sport packs etc but as soon as you get to the FPS games such as FarCry vengence, there is no cooless to the WII remote other than you get to point it. MUCH easier to use a XBOX 360 for this and NOTE there are wireless controllers for the XBOX 360 which were released before the WII. graphics are not great either

PC what can i say. doesn't have interesting controls such as wireless contorllers etc BUT GRAPHICS AND PROCESSING POWER??? UNMATCHED!!! VERY easy to upgrade build you own ooba gaming machine and to be honset prove the BEST graphics on any console and faster than all the other consoles.

Anyway thats my gripe dont forget to put yours up!!!

I voted 360. Great console. Just to add, its CPU is more powerful than the majority of pcs out there (tri-core 3ghz off the top of my head) but is lacking a bit in terms of ram (500mb) but it doesn't really need as much as a PC.

(BTW did you know there was already a thread on this?)

I have far cry for the PC and far cry vengence for the WII and the graphics on the Wii are SHOCKINGLY poor.

The Wii has the game graphics as the Gamecube, which probably helped make it cheaper.

You would expect a graphics upgrade for a next gen console, but the Wii is basically a GC with a different box and controllers.

I prefer the PC for FPS games and so on, as I find it easer to aim with a mouse as opposed to the joysticks on a PS2 controller. But then again, I prefer my PS2 for racing games and just about everything else, which is why I haven't voted. Plus the fact that I've only played half of the consoles on the list so can't really give an opinion on the other ones without making assumptions.

I might as well vote for PS2 as I suppose I do prefer it, and the title does ask what do you prefer

well its an intereting point about the Nintendo Wii. With is poor graphics but popularity are we heading for a backward step in consol gaming.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say that the Wii has bad graphics, they're just not as good in comparison to the 360 and PS3 as it's not HD and the other two are. It's not what you'd expect of a next gen console, but I'm sure Nintento's next offering will have HD graphics.
