Why not use Windows Explorer - does what you want but without all that annoying and so called helpful stuff attached to the album structure - thats all these things are and the images simply a collection of shortcuts in most cases.
Better still - print them all out and keep them in a proper album?

Not sure what you mean - you can cherry pick the ones you want from a thumbnail list and then either copy or move them to another folder, or whatever?

Depends on how they have been listed/named/filed i s'pose. If they are in the format as saved by the camera it will be impossible to find anything!

2954 files to go through | You can achieve the same result by setting the explorer search to look for all .jpg and .bmp files.

Did you ever try Picasa? Quote: |
Picasa instantly locates and organises all the pictures on your computer.

I wouldn't use Picasa - it is an indexer so sits there using up system resouces. I have been asked to take it off a number of machines where it has been installed by the software bundled with a digital camera. The effects are pronounced! Sorry - that was pompous! You can see the difference!

Actually you can adjust it so it only runs when opened. And I do agree the media detector is garbage so I'm not suggesting to use that. Quote: |

| At this point I don't think we would know what to do without you being just the way you are mate |
