That's a definite bonus. GW was a clown when it came to speaking. The brain and tongue just don't work well in concert.

Great points, guys.
I was feeling a tinge of remorse at some of my comments in that they seem to be
totally taking up for Obama. But then I thought "hey, this is a debate forum."
Civil debate is the cornerstone of a true democracy. Civil is key.
Obama won on a landslide of electoral votes and a comfortable 53% popular vote.
Less than half the U.S. presidents to date had more experience than Obama and
out of those, some became the worst presidents.
I'm going to give him a chance with a large buffer for possible mistakes.
For people that only read blogs like:
Obama Would Rename White House “Black House”
I say continue to watch Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly or Coulter.
I don't watch Olbermann, Maddow or Mathews either.
Will there be Obamaisms like Bushisms? Probably but they will be more rare
as it has something to do with innate intelligence, and the ability to speak English.
Obamaism: "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honours its unbroken line of
fallen heroes and I see many of them in the audience here today our sense of
patriotism is particularly strong." (Queen's English on this one. )
So what? i think I messed up once myself...today...every day.
To be continued..... |

But not for Iraq the UK wouldn't have lost as many soldiers and 4000+ of
my brothers either. What a sham(e).
Just let me ramble along my merry way. Whatever happens...happens. | I personally don't think the UK should have become involved in Iraq, Blair + Bush made serious errors of judgement, enuff said!

| At least Fox tries to give a two sided view. The MSNBC crews have really turned me off of listening to much that Democrats have to say. They represent the left, and make them look childish.
Blair + Bush were lied to. Many people lost their well paid jobs over that, and if I remember right one even committed suicide.

Fox? Two sided? Fox is to right what MSNBC is to left. It all averages out.

Hehe, I think MSNBC swings way farther to the left then Fox does to the right. MSNBC had to pull Olbermann and Matthews from their anchor seats during the presidential preliminaries for being too non-biased. It stops being news when it's ones opinion. Their replacement, David Gregory, is one I will listen to any time. He knows the difference in reporting and opinion.

I hate disagreeing with obviously very intelligent people...as most in this forum.
But Fox and MSNBC aren't even pretending not to be partisan.
I think CNN will win out in the end.
I do rather like BBC.
Impartiality can "never fully be achieved to everyone's satisfaction".

I think they made the mistake of treating a news event as if it were one of their hour long nightly shows, which is where they are allowed to be as opinionated as they want. The primaries, debates and so forth aren't satires and should be treated with fairness. They lost sight of that and then lost their seats hosting them.
Fox just hired Glen Beck from CNN to do his nightly show. He has some pretty serious right wing views. Only unlike Olberman, Beck tries to act like his to the far right views are actually in the middle. NOT!!
In the end all of the cable news channels are biased. When Comedy Central has the highest rated political show you know something isn't right!

in the end it isn't down to channels nor shows nor spin, it should be for what's good for the country, end of..

Glen Beck has Ted Nugent on a lot and both are right wing lugnuts deserving of
Fauxnews along with Dennis (400lb Gorilla) Miller on O'Reilly's "No Spin" SPIN ZONE.
At a March 21, 2006, news conference, Bush again blamed the war on Hussein’s
defiance of U.N. demands for unfettered inspections. Liar, liar, pants on fire!!!
I have high hopes (maybe wishful thinking) Obama will stay true to us. |

I saw Ted Nugent live in 1987 at the Kansas City Swope Park Outdoor Theater. He only knows full throttle lol. Good times!!
My ex was 7 months pregnant with my first child, who is en-route as we speak on his way home from Iraq. Well, back to Fort Carson Colorado. Most of the way home anyway.

I too think Obama will reap rewards, he is refreshingly open in his goals, in the past 60 years black people didn't have any rights and he acknowledges that fact! power to him and his insight, he's a clever, articulate man, he needs to be given a chance

Ted Nugent could indeed rock the house.
So glad your son is coming home, Evil.
A couple years ago I wrote the Dept of the Army offering my services as a
combat infantryman to go back to Iraq and lend a hand. They basically told me I
was too old. I told them to test my mettle against any younger soldier.
They said thanks but no thanks. Oh well.
Does it sound insane to opt volunteering for a war I think was wrongfully started?
I thought the invasion of Kuwait was a good reason at the time to do battle.
I guess you'd have to know me personally.
