BART Cop Kills a Man While Laying Face Down on the Ground.

I'm not sure how much attention this is getting outside of the states but it is getting to be pretty big news here. Their was a video of the incident posted on youtube.

They rioted after that in the streets. Story here with videos.

Now I found a forum that cops post on talking about the issue and are defending the guy. To me it appears that they cop killed him in cold blood but to the guys on that forum they think he is innocent.

The cop that did the shooting was arrested today for murder. Here is the story on that.

True but we still punish people for making mistakes like this. It would still be man slaughter at the least. A lot of people on the forum I posted about seem to think he should be let off the hook. One cop said "Whats next, are we going to start arresting doctors who screw up and kill people?" Well yes we do and we have been for a long time. Cops here in America seem to think they are above the law. Their was a story I head about today about a doctor on trial for killing a patient.

oh my goodness! that makes my blood boil. If he is innocent i hope the copper that shot him gets strung up and tortured, what right did he really have. Maybe hes in the law, but at the end of the day, hes and innocent person (supodivly) and we are all only human!

If I was on the jury for this guys trial and saw that video I think it would be an open and shut case here.

And we are (as always) thinking about giving UK cops a gun?
If that was a mistake it was more like an execution.

As a knee jerk reaction I feel the same way, but I have to calm myself before I do. What i want to happen is he get put away for a long time in the general population of a high security prison. An ex-cop in a maximum security prison, I think he will be everyones bitch.

I am against the death penalty but when I see thinks like this it almost makes me agree with it.

I live in Kentucky, we have many hunters and gun enthusiasts. I am one of them. We have a saying. You can pry my gun from my cold dead fingers. I have been saved may times by having a gun. I have never shot anyone or at anyone.

The problem is that most cops think they are above the law. In the past year their have been numerous cases of cop corruption. Their has also been cases of cops forcing women to sleep with them to get out of a speeding ticket.

With all this going on who protects you from the protectors. If you have a gun it evens the playing field. I have had cops friends who are cops say that if they pull someone over for a ticket they will try to make the mad so they can arrest them. Some get a kick out of it. Its a power trip for them and they get off on it. It drives me crazy.

Yup kentuckiens definitely love their guns. And I am one of them. Gonna go look at some 9 mils tomorrow actually.
I agree with everything you said there quehegan.
For an example about the cops thinking they are above the law. I was driving one day and a cop was behind me. It was just a two lane road and the speed limit was 55. It then opens up into a 4 lane road. Well I went 60 on the two lane part, then when the other lanes were open the cop shot past me and probably was going 70. I usually go 65 on that road but since I knew there was a cop behind me I didn't. Though once he passed me I was like screw this I am gonna go my normal speed. How can a cop pull you over for speeding when they do it themselves?

Its the do as say not as I do argument. Here is Lexington cops will turn on their lights so they don't have to stay in traffic. If they see a long line of traffic at a red light they will turn on their lights to get through it and a little ways down the road they will be pulled off in a drive through getting food.
