If things are like that here you're most certainly abiding by it Also I never said that it was fact, perhaps just hearsay or what i've read in the paper.
Like I said, i'm outta here. It's pointless banging on about where my taxes go or anything, because you talk about a balance, but you're obviously not one to compromise or even consider any truth in what's been said, instead looking for a complete opposite/alternative to cause controversy. | OK, I object to being misrepresented. Basically you're accusing me of trolling. You're damn right I talk about "balance", because ... well, there's precious little of it round here.
"I" made a statement? I made it clear that the "private donations" comment was from another forum. I made it clear that the "oil states" comment was by a CofE "bigwig". I also made this clear:
"That aside, I've no idea where my taxes go in respect of such things."
I can assure you that I'll be ... "concerned" if anyone can prove that UK tax-pounds go on mosques and/or churches. |

Exactly! You've taken another persons word, so it's speculation, like you accused us of earlier.
Now lets get back on topic, eh?

As for me, I considered the statement you made about mosques being paid for by oil.
Where have you even considered anything anyone else has said? Instead you can't wait to rush to an opposing statement. Whether you deem what has been said by anyone else as true or not, I don't see any consideration for anything anyone has said. Quote:

I accept your statement that mosques are not be paid for my tax payers, but everyone knows that immigration is not a charitable cause.
This is getting too intense, and for what?

OK guys, this is far from the Christmas conversation it was started out as. Religion and politics are rarely a civil topic on web forums.
Start a new topic or be level headed and agree to disagree.

I don't know about you, but I can still do the exact same things at Xmas as I've always done, regardless of the influx over the past 10-20 years. So in what way is it "going" (or possibly even "gone" already )?

Reason: No need to cause another argument

Start a new topic or be level headed and agree to disagree. | With respect evil, the exact conversation it started as was:
"wont our Christmas be gone - seeing as all the people are coming over into Britian, and potentially taking over our country"
To me, that's essentially "immigrants (most likely Muslims) are taking over Christmas".
Isn't it to you?

Yes, it is but you don't take anyone else's posts into account, so it's pointless trying to talk.
Let this be the last post for a while.

Yeah, it is, but think skin can also be cut. Why are you even arguing this topic to the extent of it's limits?! Do you love causing controversy? There are certain limits and this has gone too far and WAY too off-topic. I'm partially to blame for that, of course.
It's not much of a debate when others' opinions are not taken into consideration

OK. Taking those 3 posts and the PM I had to "cool it" into account ...
... "others' opinions".
So, accepting that opinions are just that, from the OP:
"wont our Christmas be gone - seeing as all the people are coming over into Britian, and potentially taking over our country - how long exactly do we have left?"
My "opinion": they've been coming over for decades & I can still do anything "our Christmassy" I feel like. So, "a long time".
End of "debate". |

The definition of debate is as follows
To contend for in words or arguments; to strive to maintain by reasoning; to dispute; to contest; to discuss; to argue for and against.
I love a good debate
To put my view across
However i think there is an underlying element to this thread that makes me a little uncomfortable so with that in mind i have one thing to say
