I've recently not been feeling like coming to this site for some reason, and at least a couple of you have noticed that. Don't worry, I haven't died or run away from TST or anything... just haven't felt like coming here. Anyway, I was reading the news as I usually do today, and I found this article that seemed so interesting to me that I had to share it: Report: U.S. Dominance and Influence Predicted to Fade - FOXNews.com Transition Tracker
For those who don't know, every 4 years, U.S. Intelligence creates a report talking about current problems and predicting things that could happen in the near future, in this case 2025. This year it seems especially bleak, compared to the one in say, 2004 for example. Then again, think about all of the things that have happened in the last 4 years.
The funny part about the article is the last part:
"On a positive note it added that an alternative to oil might be in place by 2025."
Input?

The next two decades will see a world living with the daily threat of nuclear war, environmental catastrophe and the decline of America as the dominant global power, according to a frighteningly bleak assessment by the U.S. intelligence community.
| Thats a scary thought having grown up in the Cold war era when we were given lessons on what to do in the event of a NA

Yeah there would most likely not be any winner. If there was a way that one country could successfully intercept every nuke thrown at it or disable the enemies nukes, well then maybe we'd have a winner.
I bet that as soon as there's a surefire way to stop another countries nukes from hitting you, there will be a nuclear war cause then whoever possesses the missile defense will have no reason to hold back.
