As in the case of most things concerning so-called "Life or Death" situations, people panic with total misunderstanding. They are unprepared having spent most of their lives isolated from reality. Even the concept of "Life or Death" is incorrect. It tries to show the urgency of a situation in the form of an ultimatum that is completely misunderstood and not so.
The opposite of Death is Birth, while Life has no opposite. If one looks closely even at various mundane levels of understanding this, there is life even in death (for example, dying and decaying leaves in the forest are food for various bacteria and insects - and life continues).
What we observe is the birth and death of various EXPRESSIONS of Life, but the essence of that which we ARE is not the expression, but very Life itself.
Therefore a 4 minute warning can be taken in a totally different context. It is NOT the dread and fear of an ending, but the promise of a new beginning. We fear that with which we are not familiar, and we also fear the loss of that which is known and comforting, even if it pains us. What a conundrum we have created.
But craftily devised words are always good for $ale$ and therefore, notwithstanding what one might deem to be a song with a worthwhile message, it is still commercialism taking advantage of weak and enfeebled minds. The great artists, writers and poets of the our past cultural history left their mark often passing away as unknowns, poor, or much underpaid.
So what would I do with 4 minutes to go? I do not deal with hypotheticals but rather with the reality of NOW which is timeless and Life itself. It is a very healthy and prosperous way to live by entertaining and putting forth energy on what we might call the positive side of Life.
Sorry if I upset anyone - just responding to the question of this thread.
Please feel free to hold on to your current view of things, if that is your wish.
I will not be offended in any way.
