Absolutely disgusting.
But if you were starving it might change how you would look at these items.

I'd be willing to give them a try. But if I was starving and lost in the middle of no where, then I would definitely eat them.

Here is an example of insidious thinking, which is, considering hypothetical questions. The point to note is that the situation that such a question points to is not a reality of the moment. One's imagination is caught up literally in a world of fantasy.
In this particular example, why anyone would present something so disgusting for others to view is in itself, as has already been said, disgusting.
It is a pitty that so many people let their peace be ruined by pursuing senseless thinking. In their state of unconsciousness they become even more unconscious when the whole point of life experience is to become totally conscious.
Anyway, that's what this ugly food business has brought to mind.

That was far more intricate and thought out than it needed to be.
I'd rather forage and live off the land, gathering berries, nuts, and preying on small game. Just the thought of munching on any of those items is enough to make me forget I was hungry in the first place.
A bloody hunk of flesh from a common barnyard animal is much more appealing than anything on that list.

Yuk yuk and double yuk!
I have tried chocolate covered ants from Melanesia - nice and crunchy - but that lot were gross - all of them.
Bleugh!

Or, if you're too lazy to do all that to nourish yourself, you just find something terribly disgusting and you won't be hungry anymore...then, when looking at that no longer gets rid of your hunger, you'll be so hungry that you'll eat it, thereby easily surviving off of nasty things. Quote:

Sorry to have said too much. Sometimes, no, quite often I get carried away.
Having maintained a vegetarian diet for over 25 years perhaps taints my view of food a bit. Sorry again - you will, of course, ignore what does not appeal to you anyway.

If I was starving and very, very thirsty, I'd eat and drink all of that guck, if I had to, preferably cooked ... fried up with lots of garlic and butter, would make most of it a bit more palitable, I'd think.
I've eaten fried assorted insects and chocolate covered grasshoppers (didn't like them because it wasn't milk chocolate) and sheep's eyes and that horrible haggis (sp?) sheep's stomach stuff. Once was enough.

Eww...chocolate covered grasshopper...
It's harder for me because, (call me a sissy) I have a very very strong fear of insects (and arachnids if you want to get all technical about it)
