So according to Tomca and blackmirror I have been tortured with music my whole childhood.
My parents listened to iskelmä (odd Finnish music) and I hate it. It came from radio so soon the sun raised and the radio was closed when everyone did go to sleep.

I could not bare it. It ended when I bought a Mp3 when I was 15.

So, music torture is fine! (just remember when some military forces captures you to get hold of your mp3 player)

The title is torture
There are all forms of torture
I find the Saturday weekly shop a torturous affair

Also having to listen when you are put on hold and that infernal piped music on an endless loop

enough to drive one insane

I'm not entirely sure music is torture ... well maybe to some religious people it may be considered so, but while growing up, I had to listen to bad (as opposed to "good") bagpipe playing full blast on Sundays. No earplugs, headphones, doubled-up pillows were sufficient to muffle the "sound" ... it was quite unbearable.

Well my mum was a country and western fan
We used to try to drown each other out

She played Sydney Devine
Sex Pistols full blast for me

Oh no, this remark is going back on topic...
Music can not be considered torture merely by definition but it can be a catalyst
toward torture by bringing about prolonged periods of sleep deprivation, which
could very well be considered torture.
Now RAP is tortuous to me but, then again, I don't consider rap to be music anyway.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If there is some sort of instrumental noise/sound, then it's music. Lyrics just make it better.

Personally, I'm rather tolerant of most types of music. Due to the way I've been raised I listen to a good bit without wanting to kill myself:

Rock
Rap
Hip/Hop
lil R&B
country rock
Techno
a lil classical if needed
80's new wave stuff
oldies (Frank,Dean, etc.)

I like to be little philosophical sometimes, sorry

So, Is the whole life a torture? and what would life be without any torture, stress and bad things? Wouldn't it be torture that everything is fine whole time and you don't need to do anything? and if would be torture how the life would be without it?

weee, my head is spinning around
I confused myself, lol
