| CPU-Z sees new Ram while Window's System Properties does not
I decided to upgrade the ram in my system by adding a 2 GB KVR800D2N6/2G to my 2 512 MB KVR667D2N5K2/1G, realizing that the new ram would run at a reduced speed.
Now window's system properties states I have only 2 GB instead of 3 GB, although CPU-Z detects all three sticks. I'm wondering if windows is or is not using the old stick? If not, how can I get it to?
I have an M2N-E motherboard, running XP 32-bit with a Dual 4400+ Athlon and a ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro video card.
I have the two old sticks on channel A (sockets A1 and A2) and the new stick on channel B (socket B1). Also, they all have a voltage of 1.8.
Is it even possible to combine these Ram? And if yes, how do I do it?
