I use CoreTemp to detect the temperature of my cpu, which is currently an intel E6750 overclocked to 3.0ghz, and I have 3x 120mm fans, the stock intel fan/heatsink, an additional 80mm pointed at the cpu, and it's all housed in a full tower CoolerMaster. Typically I hit temperatures of about 39 or 45 degrees C, about 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
But today, I hit a record low. It's so cold in my room thanks to the weather (currently 45 degrees Fahrenheit) that my temperatures plummeted to 25 and 30 degrees C, which is little more then 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Of course, I'm freezing my *** off, but hey...at least my PC is nice and cool.
What's your record low? Mention what software you're using, what your cpu model and speed are currently, what cooling system you're using, what size and model case you have, and what your usual average is. You can feel free to use either Celsius of Fahrenheit for your temperature measurements or both as I have.

I am using the Asus PC Probe to see my temps. Right now my CPU is at 32 degrees Celsius which is pretty much normal for this time of year. In the summer it runs around 40 degrees Celsius. I have a mid tower case. I have two 120mm fans one front one back. And two 250mm fans on the side. I'll also mention my motherboard temps and my gpu. My motherboard is running at 32C and my GPU is running at 56C.
Oh and to see the temp of my GPU I used NVmonitor.

With my old socket 462 amd athlon xp2000+ overclocked to just shy of 2ghz (from its 1.67ghz standard) using an abit nf7-s mobo, i got an underload temperature of 27 degrees maximum in the summer. I was using a water kit, I can't remember the make but i uprated the pump, resevoir, and radiator.
Software wise, i used an abit util, speedfan, and everest to confirm the temperature.

My CPU usually runs at about 30-32C, and I use Speedfan to measure it. As I type this it's at 31C
Under load I'm not completely sure but I usually turn the fan to full speed if I start a game up so it doesn't get that much warmer. I think once after quitting a game it was about 36C, and I had been on it a while.
Oh yeah, I have a full sized case (I'm assuming it's full size because the PSU has a shelf above the mobo whereas my old case didn't), with 2x 80mm fans in the front, 1x120mm in the back, 1x 80mm in the side, roughly facing the CPU, and 1x 80mm in the top facing outwards.
And of course the 120mm one in the PSU

That is a bit warm, James, but it all depends on your hardware and setup, i.e. CPU, cooler, case size and case fans (amount, sizes and how many).

No. It's not ok. You will be forced to sit there and expel air from your lungs to cool it, or you will be hung by your entrails.
43 degrees isn't all that bad. That's typically what my CPU reaches under load under these conditions. During the summer, it peaks to about 50 or 52 sometimes if the weather gets really intense.
If it were at 60 and above, I'd be kind of worried. That would be getting a bit toasty. I consider 65 to be red-lining it. Any higher and I'd be fearing for my processor.
43 is just about right. If you do the conversion, it's about 95 to 100 degrees fahrenheit. That's body temperature.

My record cpu temp was actually -2, it was down to a faulty sensor tho.

That's the temperature for my Q6600 at 3.0GHz.
I've got 3 x 120mm fans and an ASUS Silent Knight II CPU cooler.
The lowest temperature i've ever seen my computer be without it being a false reading is about 12 degrees, but it was absolutely freezing in the room
False reading i've seen it at -8 degrees
Still far from finished with my computer where it comes to cooling
Lots of modding to do. Trying to make it near-silent
