InsydeH2O BIOS recovery - it's a long shot, but...

... I don't suppose anybody on this forum has had experience with recovering BIOSes, have they?

I've got 2 Aspire One ZG5s here with the no display/BIOS corruption problem, neither of them will recover from a flash drive. Just does the following: ‪Acer Aspire One Black Screen of Death‬‏ - YouTube

Have tried 10 different USB sticks and a USB CDROM drive, it just doesn't even try access them. Any of you lovely lot got any ideas?

The first board in one of them was completely mangled by myself when trying to replace the BIOS chip (I haven't been let within 100 yards of a soldering iron since), got another with the same fault for mega cheaps.

Cheers

Gave up on this for the record, bought a used working board for £42, resold my board as faulty for £20. £22, not bad for a replacement board imho.

haha, I can only presume so netbook's sitting in front of me working fine at last, albeit missing a few screws, 'cause I went and lost them all like a berk.

You got it back together and it works so the crews must have been spares!
